The same irresponsible billionaire who sells flame throwers, advocates nuking Mars and calls his enemies “pedos” now has another mark of shame. Elon Musk’s latest transgression is fueling violent hatred toward the news media:
As former CBS CEO Leslie Moonves said, the news media’s obsession with Trump is unhealthy for society but very good for CBS. And now the same could be said about the media and Elon Musk. If journalists are public servants, however, they will refuse to go along with this media circus.
The solution is not to ignore Trump and Musk. Obviously they are very powerful and so the news media must report about them to hold them accountable. Instead, the news media should use the truth sandwich story structure to neutralize their power:
Tesla’s Elon Musk, the spoiled brat who plans to nuke Mars, calls his critics “pedos” and sells flamethrowers to the general public, has purchased Twitter. It is a match made in hell:
Musk reportedly plans to make Twitter into a subscription service, which means users will have to pay a monthly fee:
Musk plans to allow psycho Trump to post again on Twitter, a reckless move that could lead to the sociopath’s reelection in 2024 and the death of democracy in the U.S.
The NAACP is concerned about Trump returning to Twitter:

Then there is the fact that there is no hard evidence other than grainy and blurry videos. One video of what military pilots claimed to be a UFO moving from the air into in the ocean looks fake.
When “president,” the liar-in-chief Trump approved the creation of a “Space Force,” for which advocates are now actively lobbying hard for funding. Billions of dollars in funding, investments in defense contractors, and lucrative careers will be made or broken depending on the outcome of these lobbying efforts.
The mission of the Space Force is to protect U.S. assets in space, such as satellites. The satellites, the argument goes, need protection from threats posed by other countries. But now our space assets also need to be protected from attack by space aliens that no one has ever seen? And so we need to increase its funding from $40 million in 2020 to $15.3 billion in 2021 and a proposed $17.5 billion in 2022?
There is a lot of money at stake, and yet it is just a coincidence, we are supposed to believe, that the new Space Force is scrambling for funding while a new report about UFOs is to be released this month without any real evidence. And is it only a coincidence that there has been such a media blitz with saturation news coverage about UFOs while the new Space Force’s advocates are pushing hard for more funding? Nothing works better to drum up support than scaring people, as we saw with the false claims about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction in the days leading up to the invasion and needless war that cost trillions of dollars.
Billionaires Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk stand to rake in billions from Space Force contracts. Conservative groups such as the rabid Heritage Foundation are advocating for more Space Force funding. And who else stands to profit from billions of the taxpayers’ money going to the private contractors that will supply the hardware and software to protect us from ET?
Nutty conspiracy theorists are even claiming that the creation of the Space Force is proof that the U.S. government knows that space aliens exist:
Rather than scanning the skies for little green men in oddly shaped UFOs, we should be following the money. And that is where journalists should be looking to find the truth. What kind of investments do Congressional members have who are lobbying the hardest for more Space Force funding? Which elected officials are receiving campaign donations from UFO enthusiasts? What kind of revolving door is turning for government officials and private industry? Who is hyping UFOs for profit?
And instead of spending tens of billions of dollars on the new Space Force, we should send a fraction of that amount in additional funding to SETI, which is the nonprofit institute that has real scientists searching for intelligent life outside of our solar system. There is a possibility that there is intelligent life on other planets, but to find it we should rely on science, not politics, shallow reporting, religion, hype or greed.
Intelligent life, if it is there on any of 29 other planets outside of our solar system, could observe earth’s radio and television broadcasts:
It's impossible to overstate the massive journalism fail we're seeing today with the elevation of supposedly mysterious UFOs as a legitimate news story. 1/https://t.co/qByRzQZi5O
-Spin control would have us believe that space aliens gonna gitcha unless the Space Force gets more funding.

Update: Intelligence officials said in the new government report about UFOs that “we currently lack sufficient information in our dataset to attribute incidents to specific explanations.” The report makes no mention of space aliens, and instead it categorizes UFOs into five categories: clutter, natural atmospheric events, government or industry programs, foreign adversary systems, and “other”:
The government report states that “additional funding for research and development could further the future study of the topics laid out in this report.” The military wants more funding. Who would have thought that would happen? What a surprise!
ProPublica found that several of the world’s wealthiest billionaires — including Americans Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffett — paid less than 1% of their vast annual wealth growth in federal income taxes from 2014 to 2018. Most Americans pay a significantly higher percentage in federal income taxes each year.
ProPublica plans to reveal more about the outrageously unfair federal tax system in the next several months.
If there is to be significant social justice, the first injustice to tackle should be the grossly unfair federal tax system that favors the filthy rich. Here are some ideas about how to do that:
.@ProPublica has obtained IRS data on thousands of America’s wealthiest people, providing an unprecedented look inside the finances of titans like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates & Mark Zuckerberg. (Thread)
