Israel and the U.S. are waging a war crimes filled genocidal terrorism assault specifically designed to target civilians including children and journalists. Exhibit No. 1 as proof: Israel and the U.S. have murdered 7,000 children in Gaza in just the past two months, and Israeli soldiers joke and laugh about the carnage:
There is a hell. It is in Gaza, where terrified children live in filth and fear. Where more than 18,000 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed. Where Israeli soldiers joke about about killing Palestinians. Where the misery is financed by the U.S.
As explosions blast all around them and concerns about their families weigh on their distressed minds, heroic young citizen journalists somehow find the courage to report the horrific news in Gaza on social media:
They aren’t giving up even as Israel intentionally murders their colleagues. A total of 62 journalists have been killed in Gaza, with some of the deaths the result of Israel targeting the news media with attacks.
This is so sad. But, somehow the citizen journalists find the strength to comfort terrified and injured children:

The problem is that the U.S. gives $4 billion yearly to Israel, and Biden is requesting $14 billion more. And Israel knows it will get the funds with no strings attached.
And the U.S. even vetoed a resolution that would have called for a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
Update: To cap its outrageous and bewildering hypocrisy, the Biden administration is sending 14,000 tank artillery shells to Israel to help continue its mass murder spree in Gaza.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken criticized Israel's conduct in its southern Gaza offensive, saying there was a ‘gap’ between its intent to protect civilians and what has been happening on the ground https://t.co/QijdV6sjMGpic.twitter.com/V8ENr60xlW
Israel has damaged nearly 100,000 buildings in its terrorism attacks in Gaza. Obviously, Israeli officials are lying when they say their military is trying to spare civilian lives and buildings.
This is careful, discriminate warfare designed to spare Palestinian civilian lives and structures? Satellite data analysis suggests "almost 98,000 buildings across the whole Gaza Strip may have suffered damage, with most of it concentrated in the north." https://t.co/Bc0m6t2QKa

“This is the deadliest period for journalists covering conflict that [CPJ has] ever documented… We have been recording attacks on journalists for more than thirty years.
That is the grim assessment of the dire situation in Gaza by the World Food Programme. Yet, the world watches from afar and does nothing more than “urging” and “calling” for genocidal Israel to allow more food, water, fuel and medical supplies. And when Israel refuses, the U.S. prepares to give $14 billion to the apartheid state so that it can more efficiently starve, maim and murder even more civilians in Gaza.
Shocked that the world allowed Israel to act with such impunity. Israeli massacres are nonstop, both north & south of #Gaza river; Palestinian families are constantly displaced; Israeli tanks are besieging hospitals which are turned into mass graves; people are thirty and hungry!
Doctors in Gaza are amputating legs and arms without anesthesia, and babies are dying because of a lack of medical supplies and clean water and because medical equipment cannot run without electricity.
Yet Biden wants to give $14 billion to Israel so that it can kill and maim even more Palestinians. And since the funds will be provided without any requirements, Israel’s leadership feels emboldened to step up its slaughter of Palestinians, including children. The current tally is 11,000 Palestinian civilians, including 4,500 children, murdered by Israel’s brutal military in just five weeks.
What other group of children has been forced to ask the world to see their humanity and let them live? More than 4,000 children in Gaza have been killed in Israeli airstrikes. https://t.co/iwt9iXGnp9

Canadian poet Rupi Kaur has declined an invitation to attend an event at the White House and ripped the Biden administration for its support of Israel’s brazen mass murder of 10,000 civilians, nearly half of them children:
“I’m surprised this administration finds it acceptable to celebrate Diwali, when their support of the current atrocities against Palestinians represent the exact opposite of what this holiday means to many of us,” she wrote in a Twitter post.
Everyone should publicly shun the Biden administration and Israel to shame them.

U.S. President Biden: “Israel should have humanitarian pauses to allow more food, water, medical supplies, and fuel into Gaza. And Israel should be careful to minimize civilian casualties.”
That bizarre scenario seemed to be on the way, but now it appears that Biden may veto a House Republican plan to approve the funding because it would require reductions in U.S. funding for tax collections.
Senate Democrats are planning to craft their own plan for funding to Israel.
Meanwhile, nearly 10,000 Palestinians — including almost 4,000 children — have been killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza in the last several weeks. Thousands more are on the brink of dying from dehydration and disease because Israel is blocking most humanitarian trucks from entering Gaza. And while claiming otherwise, the U.S. is OK with funding the slaughter, misery and forced displacement. That is quite a trick: Claiming to care about Palestinians in Gaza while simultaneously and knowingly funding their destruction.
U.S is providing Israel with the means to flatten #Gaza, & providing Israel with political cover at U.N. #Biden Just requested $14 billion in new aid. Now SecDef Austin & Military brass are providing Israel with advice on how to crush Hamas & cow Gazans.https://t.co/ewuWuacrbZ
After genocidal Israel slaughtered 3,700 children in Gaza, progressive Democrats cited a legal requirement to withhold funding for countries that violate human rights:
The progressives are attempting to block the $14 billion Biden requested for Israel. They cited Israel’s alleged use of white phosphorus weapons to burn Palestinian children to death as just one of many examples of Israel’s ongoing human rights abuses and war crimes.
A progressive Democrat should run against Biden for the party’s nomination for 2024.
Another opportunity for people to vote their conscience will come in 2024 with California’s U.S. Senate race. Barbara Lee voted against the use of military force after 9/11 and she has called for a ceasefire in Gaza.
President Biden claimed that he asked Israel to minimize civilian casualties as it carries out its war against Hamas in Gaza, but the message he is sending to the world is that he is so weak that he cannot convince the genocidal Israeli occupiers of Palestine to do anything.
Instead, it is clear that Israel feels it has a blank check to do whatever it pleases. It knows that no matter how many children it slaughters and maims, the U.S. will keep providing billions of dollars in funding.
When a president and Congress provide funding to a country that is openly practicing genocide, that government is complicit. The U.S. is therefore responsible for the mass murders, suffering and genocide in Gaza, and there is no denying that fact.
When someone pays another person to commit murder, we hold both of them fully responsible. The court of public opinion and history will hold President Biden, the U.S. Congress and the nation fully responsible for what Israel is doing in Gaza the same as if they physically committed the war crimes. This will be Biden’s legacy: He will be known as a war criminal who paid others to commit genocide.
The number of children who have been killed by Israel is estimated at 3,450, according to James Elder, a spokesperson with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
Israel has proven beyond doubt with its merciless nonstop killing of children that it does not deserve U.S. support of any kind.

Pigs, cows and sheep by the millions are shipped across the oceans completely covered in feces to slaughter for human consumption. Millions die before reaching the slaughterhouses:
It is an ironic truth that civilization involves horrific cruelty on an unimaginably massive scale and that almost no one knows anything about the callous barbarity that goes on every minute of every day.
Sure, a vague agreement was reached for wealthy countries to provide funds to developing countries to help them adapt to the devastating effects of the climate crisis. But the much bigger news is that the climate meeting failed to reach an agreement to phase out fossil fuels:
And that means that by any realistic measurement, the COP27 climate event was an overall existential failure of global proportions.
Leaders keep saying that the world can be saved if we act now, but then at this climate meeting we chose to kick the can down the road. And so we are doomed.
Passing laws to make it more difficult for people to purchase guns in the U.S. would help to reduce mass shootings. But there are already 400 million guns in the U.S., which is more than the country’s population, and so it is extremely naive to think that new gun laws would be enough to make shootings stop. Anyone who wants a gun will still be able to get one quite easily on the black market after new laws are passed.
In addition to passing reasonable gun laws, we also need to change our culture. Until that happens, mass shootings will continue.
We need to teach nonviolent conflict resolution in every school in the U.S. Children grow up in violent homes, live in violent neighborhoods, attend violent schools, and are exposed to violent video games and entertainment every day of their lives, and then we wonder why some of them turn out to be violent. Some of these children are mentally ill and most of them never learn anything about how to resolve conflict peacefully. Throw in a lack of hope, and we have an unhealthy mix of conditions that can lead to violent behavior for a few mentally ill people.
We need to have a better safety net and social services so that all children will have hope and can grow up with the support they need to thrive and become productive members of society. Health care, dental care, drug and alcohol abuse treatment, counseling, school breakfast and lunch, college, trade school, public transportation, and elder care should all be free and well-financed through higher taxes on the wealthy and corporations. Also, community block grants and other innovative financial support should be distributed equitably to create and support businesses and employment opportunities, especially in low income areas.
Given enough time and financial resources, these support systems can work to significantly reduce violence in the U.S. It is in the best interests of everyone to commit the resources to ensure that they do work.
The Guardian newspaper is asking people to submit their ideas about what should be done to reduce mass shootings in the U.S.:
The Guardian reported that U.S. officials later said that Biden had been talking about the need for Putin to lose power over Ukrainian territory and in the wider region. Biden’s comment, however, was widely taken to mean that he supports regime change in Russia. Thus, it served its purpose while the subsequent backtracking absolved Biden of responsibility for what he and millions of Russians and Ukrainians support: the removal of Putin from power.
Here is Putin’s obscenely lavish yacht, with its gold toilet paper dispensers:
Putin is estimated to have stolen $170 billion from the Russian people, many of whom live in poverty. Russia has one of the largest wealth inequality gaps in the world.
Russia’s elite and security leaders blame Putin for the chaos in Russia and for the disastrous war in Ukraine.
Update: The International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant for Putin because of his war crimes in Ukraine:
Putin is not only an autocrat who initiated an illegal & immoral war against Ukraine, he's the leader of an oligarchic kleptocracy that's stolen billions from the Russian people. In Russia, ordinary people struggle while Oligarchs make out like bandits – which they are. (1/14)

With the no-fly zone, U.S. jets would not attack Russian ground troops unless fired upon. And U.S. fighter jets would not attack Russian jets unless they flew above Ukraine.
The idea with the no-fly zone is to prevent Russian jets from bombing Ukraine’s cities, where Russia has targeted civilians in hospitals, shelters, schools and apartment buildings. Mariupol, for example, has been reduced to rubble, as 90% of its buildings have been damaged.
President Biden has said that he will not authorize a no-fly zone over Ukraine, as doing so could escalate into WWIII and Russia using nuclear weapons.
A no-fly zone could involve the U.S. shooting down Russian fighter jets and bombers. It could also involve the U.S. attacking air defense systems in Russia and Belarus. And these scenarios are cause for such concern that some experts oppose enforcing a no-fly zone:
Volker argues that unless Putin is stopped, Russia could then attack other countries. Should he believed about this? Volker, who now works with a lobbying company, was involved in the scandal with Trump over Ukraine and supposedly made false statements at that time:
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, has pleaded with the West to establish a no-fly zone.
Update: U.S. national security experts are preparing a plan about how to respond if Putin orders Russia’s military to use chemical, biological or nuclear weapons:
Update: President Biden said that NATO will respond proportionately if Russia uses chemical weapons in Ukraine. Presumably this also means that NATO would respond if Russia uses biological or nuclear weapons:
I am passionately anti-war. I have believed since the 1970s that the U.S. should not get involved in a military action or war unless it is in the best interests of both the U.S. and the country requesting our assistance. Even then, diplomatic efforts should be pursued until we determine that we have no other option to prevent genocide but to use military force. And the U.S. should only enforce a no-fly zone or respond to Russia’s use of chemical or biological or nuclear weapons if we determine that doing so is also in our best interest. That moment could arrive very soon, and President Biden must prepare for it. Other NATO countries would also participate in enforcing a no-fly zone or responding to Russia’s use of non-conventional weapons. And that response would require planning and coordination. The U.S. and participating nations must also have an exit strategy before commencing with a no-fly zone or response to Russia’s use of non-conventional weapons.
It would take some time to prepare an effective no-fly zone or other response. Such preparations should begin now, while diplomatic efforts continue. If an agreement is reached and Russia honors it, the plan to enforce a no-fly zone or other response can be shelved.
Most Americans, 74%, support enforcing a no-fly zone over Ukraine:
The U.S. and other NATO nations should not enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine until all diplomatic efforts have been exhausted, Biden and his cabinet have determined it is in the best interests of both Ukraine and the U.S., and U.S. and NATO experts have had time to prepare a carefully crafted and well-reasoned plan for success that clearly identifies the justification for such an operation as well as the exit strategy.
