California considers universal health care

I have been advocating for universal health care since 1989. And now a version of it may become a reality in California:

Unfortunately, the governor’s plan would only provide health care for low income Californians. There will be some Californians who make too much to qualify for assistance but not enough to afford to pay for health insurance.
